I think I may have broken the rules of the game. As you may remember I ran the sea battle in sz115 in the forum since triplea would not allow me to retreat in that battle. Perhaps triplea was right and I was wrong since there was a submarine in the retreat zone. I suspect my loaded transport should have met an untimely death. I shall post a rules question just to make sure.

I look at the rule myself.
The rule says the sea zone you retreat to must be friendly at the start of the attacking players turn, which 114 was not… so I guess the trns and cargo would die?
I would say redo the turn somehow and keep the battles, but we are so far in to it, I am not sure that is possible… :oops:

The rule says attacking sea units can only retreat to friendly sea zone at the start of a players turn.
P. 8 says only enemy surface ships make a sea zone hostile, so the retreat it ok, as I read it now. Whew… :lol:

Can’t proceed with Germany yet though, still stuff in the pipeline, but Germany will have an easier time not sporting less loaded transports. :-)
