The new stable version of TripleA 2.x has been released.

Note that savegames from version 1.9 are not compatible with the new release.
So it is recommended to finish your current games with the 1.9-version and to start new games with the new 2.x-version.
Also you and your opponent need to be on the same version. So make sure you are compatible before starting the game.
You can install both (and even more) versions side by side on your computer, just be sure that you choose different installation directories during the setup-routine:
When you execute the setup you come to a point where you are asked about to install into a directory, usually that is
C:\Program Files\TripleA\
Now the task is not to install another version into the same directory - in that case you would overwrite the present installation - but into a different one.
So when it comes to the above mentioned dialogue simply click into the line where the installation path is indicated and change it to
C:\Program Files\TripleA_whatever\
You will then install another version side by side.
Later be sure to know which version you open with which shortcut/icon on your desktop.
You could rename the shortcut name to contain the version behind it.

Unfortunately, when I got the prompt that a new version was available it did not mention this (at least I don’t think it did), so I foolishly downloaded it and it automatically overwrote my old version (1.9).
Where can I find 1.9 to re-download it?

Be sure to install into a different directory, to prevent from overwriting, when you need different versions.

So in case you are still on 2.5 or on an older 2.6 version it is recommended to finish your games with those. Savegames are not compatible!
The developers reverted back to 2.522294, as it turned out that currently 2.6 versions don’t work properly with the so-called “bot-play” in the “Lobby”.
This does not affect play by forum of course.
In case you play lobby/bot you should use 2.5.22294 to do so.
