Northwestern China is Sichuan?

I found a list that lists the errors for A&A 1941 at this address https://axisallies.com/rules/axis-allies-rules-1941-corrections-faqs.pdf
For the United States, it says that on Northwestern China, should have infantry. Is Northwestern China the same as Sichuan (because on a réal map, it’s not the same).
Whereas here on this website there is a United States location that has disappeared (No Northwestern China or Sichuan anymore)…United States

Sorry, I hadn’t looked at the game board (I couldn’t find Northwestern China in the booklet.)… just the online rules that I’m trying to translate . I saw in the errata link I gave that there were errors. So I looked on the official website to see if these errors were reported. I found this official page where neither Northwestern China nor Szechwan. There are only 7 places left to put troops instead of 8. Is that the case? Setup chart and a picture and a picture of both

@panther Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, I have finished translating the whole rulebook, but I’ll be sure to use if I ever translate the 1940 and 1942 versions. Right now, I’m going to work on the Anniversary version instead, even though I don’t own that version (nor the 1940 and 1942 versions). Thank you very much for your help.
