    @FMErwinRommel yeah it wasnt looking good for a bit…i was tempted to go in light with 3 mechs, but glad I didnt!

    Its tricky with russia having germany dance around it with mechs and tanks, but being restricted to moving only 1 square from moscow. You have a big garrison there now though with quite a few mechs of your own so Moscow wont be falling for a bit!

    Axis income now exceeding the allies by 19 although some of that is from unholdable NOs so the gap will narrow next turn im sure…axis in a nice place though!

    I was pleased that Luftwaffe moved further inland Russia so it had limited target range in Med to counterattack. But discouraged that strong German home fleet could move south if I went after Italy. After great thought, I found a way to use most of the RAF by moving and emptying U.S. CVs to land on. I drained the fighters from London & India and still have fewer UK planes in Med than my opponents have when I play Axis. So finally built new fighters. I still can’t match Japan’s fleet. But U.S. finally got an N.O. and Italy will be neutered. Won’t need a powerful UK fleet once the Med is under control.

    Hooray! The British Empire strikes back. But retreats to India. I rolled exactly enough to take out the Italian fleet on round 1. Which tempted me to retreat and save my capital ships. But I didn’t want to leave the Italian tt’s and fighters to continue to pose a threat. Also, taking out the Luftwaffe reduced the threat elsewhere in the Med. Besides, Allies still have the loaded CV’s and rest of U.S. fleet. But not in position. Bat Calc said I’d have 8 units left, and I did.

    Gotta say the dice were not perverse for me this time. In Persia, I rolled half the hits expected and you rolled 1-for-1, but I had overwhelming force and it didn’t matter. But in the important sea battle, we each rolled close to average in the combined rounds. Italy did its job before it was crushed decisively by the U.S. and U.K., losing 145 TUV and half (18) of its 36 fighting units. The Allies don’t have enough troops to invade and hold the underbelly of Europe. But at least its not a threat in U.K.'s backyard or to the Med N.O.'s. .

    @FMErwinRommel Yes always a relief when rolling goes as expected in a fleet battle…the consequences always seem more sever if things go wrong! My italians went down much quicker than yours unfortunately but they still held the allies up for a while.
