Solo AA curse resumes, American bomber was hit on its maiden SBR. So -12 TUV. I can accept getting hit on the 3rd or 4th raid, and prefer the 6th, but its very irritating on the first. The Italian can opener has been very effective, even if just the threat of it. I’ve forced things to a head on the eastern front. UK can’t retreat just on the possibility of a full scale mobile attack. The one round attack and retreat on Tunisia was deliberate.

@FMErwinRommel yeah its a real kick in the teeth in the early game when that happens…if you only have 1or 2 bombers it really feels bad, once there are 5or 6 on the board losing one somehow doesnt feel as bad!

Eastern front is definitely hotting up…will take some thinking about for the german turn!
There is a rule that all air moved must have a way of potentially being picked up. If I build a tt in sz62, the AI lets Japan attack it with a plane, even tho the only way it could be picked up is if Japan attacked and won in sz54. The plane would crash, but still achieve its objective. The AI can’t predict whether the sea battle in sz54 will succeed or not, but perhaps it should require a combat move to the landing zone, before allowing the attack on sz62. What do you think?

Regarding your question about the tt, you are right that if i suicided a plane to kill it I would need to attack the fleet, but even just attacking with a sub would have been enough to satisfy that demand…however I was unlikely to waste 16ipc points to kill a 7 ipc unit!

Frustrating seeing Eastern Europe wide open except for one unit in W. Ukr and can’t blitz thru Ukr and can’t afford to see all my mobile west. I attacked Ros with an art instead of an inf to give me an edge, to no benefit, as I rolled 0-6 in 3 rounds and you finally hit. But I wiped out defenders on round 1 in Novo. I bet you were yelling and cursing at the computer on Germany’s first round in Persia. Unfortunately for me, the dice turned cold after round 1. Would have been sweet to hit in rounds 2 and 3 and force you to take a bomber instead of your last mech.

@FMErwinRommel yeah it wasnt looking good for a bit…i was tempted to go in light with 3 mechs, but glad I didnt!
Its tricky with russia having germany dance around it with mechs and tanks, but being restricted to moving only 1 square from moscow. You have a big garrison there now though with quite a few mechs of your own so Moscow wont be falling for a bit!
Axis income now exceeding the allies by 19 although some of that is from unholdable NOs so the gap will narrow next turn im sure…axis in a nice place though!
