    Hooray! The British Empire strikes back. But retreats to India. I rolled exactly enough to take out the Italian fleet on round 1. Which tempted me to retreat and save my capital ships. But I didn’t want to leave the Italian tt’s and fighters to continue to pose a threat. Also, taking out the Luftwaffe reduced the threat elsewhere in the Med. Besides, Allies still have the loaded CV’s and rest of U.S. fleet. But not in position. Bat Calc said I’d have 8 units left, and I did.

    Gotta say the dice were not perverse for me this time. In Persia, I rolled half the hits expected and you rolled 1-for-1, but I had overwhelming force and it didn’t matter. But in the important sea battle, we each rolled close to average in the combined rounds. Italy did its job before it was crushed decisively by the U.S. and U.K., losing 145 TUV and half (18) of its 36 fighting units. The Allies don’t have enough troops to invade and hold the underbelly of Europe. But at least its not a threat in U.K.'s backyard or to the Med N.O.'s. .

    True, but those defenders were the strongest and only got 1 more hit than expected. Those 5 misses could have knocked out a sub and a mech for ten points. And my 3 subs should have averaged 2 convoy points each for total of 6. So all in all you did okay. But taking out the Italian navy and a total of 7 Axis planes does make the sacrifice of the Royal Navy more acceptable (for lack of a better word). Interesting situation in Russia. You’re positioning towards Siberia and I can’t stop you. And still enough mobile units in Cauc with air support to repeat the Mideast attack. Since Russia goes before its Allies, its mobile units have limited options and your mobile units can return to counterattack. Maybe Bry again?

    Not used to having to defend Hawaii from a large up close fleet with sizable ampphib, and Australia at the same time. The hardest part is deciding what to build in W.C. In Australia, I have a pre-existing limited resource. I know you kept building CVs after I stopped, but didn’t think I was shortchanging the Pacific that much. The eternal problem is Allied defense is okay, but U.S. offense alone can’t begin to challenge you. I’m going all Pacific builds this turn. Which gives Germany a break.
