its not likely I would do it in any case. I’m nervous about my chances in this game, but not that nervous yet to take that kind of gamble. But I was just surprised that you were giving me those kind of odds and thought you might have missed the fighters. I’ll double check the kamikaze rule but you are probably right. In which case the odds would be about 30%

But it would have been pretty tempting and if I could find a way to do it where I was really only risking the transports and the air, I might have gone for 30% given what the payoff was.

Yeah pretty sure it would be game ending so it would be pretty tempting.

Not that it matters but with the sub there you would have to send enough surface ships to kill the sub after kamikazes as you wouldnt be able to ignore the sub if I scrambled a ftr. So you would probably have to commit several dds or something as well. But either way, not what I was going for.

@ksmckay I ahve 3 subs to reach which should be enough but I would have to add at least 4 air. And if you didn’t scramble adn I lost in Japan then I would need to move carriers for that air to land. Plus it would be a big set up in improving my position in the pacific.
