In the latest printing, that last sentence reads, “Transports may not attack in a sea battle without being accompanied by at least 1 unit with an attack value.”

@chernobylime Good morning. Once the Sub has had its SUrprise Attack, all surviving enemy naval units can fire back. Air unite can only fire back, if a friendly DD is present.

Point (3) only says that the dice must be rolled simultaneously (i.e. before any casualties are chosen), it does not say that you don’t have to keep track of what unit rolled what. (…)

Thanks, Colonel, that cleared it to me. I can sleep well again, knowing I always played it right ;-).

Along with the damage if it was never bought off before it can be upgraded.  It could be a 26 IPC expense for the original owner to upgrade it back to the major.

sweet, that is how i thought it worked. hehe egypt minor is gosu!

I feel that the potshot rule adds most to gameplay. (also blocking makes no sense)

OK that sucks, but thank you for the clarification, guess sinking whole english fleet now is alot more difficult then it used to be  :-(
