Wow, that is a tricky one.
Not sure if I should take 2 fighter + carrier hit or Carrierx2 and 2 Fighter.
the problem is you can retreat :(Ok, I need to leave the comp, I decide:
Hit the carrier once and kill both fighters.

It is far from being obvious to me!
As the fighter cannot retreat saccing the carrier will simply invite you to retreat and let the germans wipe the little rest. -

- I was going to take off destroyer, cruiser, fighter, but I wasn’t considering carrier, fighter, fighter (I have taken it off in that order before, for myself)
- It rolls the submarine first and then requires a casualty choice before rolling the rest of the attack dice. You had a destroyer, so all the attack dice should be rolled before a casualty choice has to be made

I think if you could choose the overall dice we had so far, you would still choose the dice I had, right?. So no luck on your side but just equating the bottom 10% battle you had in Scotland imo. (the only thing what sucks a bit is the big amount of troops in France^^)

Well, we’ll see what this defense roll is. If you hit me 3 times it will be very bad for me.

I need to ask why:
Your choice leaves you with 3 hitpoints and 6 attack power while my choice leaves me with 3 hits and 7 attack (plus higher variance as I have higher max damage)Let my cruiser hit now and I can sleep well:)

Well, I feel very fortunate because that could have been disastrous and the Germans would have to decide whether to clean up
I’m not saying DD, CA, FTR was optimum. I’m still not really used to having 2 hit carriers after all those dozens of games of AA50. Good thing you were online

the thing is: Once you had dices you start getting greedy, expecting miracles every turn^^
I agree we are now close to average, however German losing 4 Air including a bomber G1 leaves it imo a bit below average for the axis.
And as I currently play 3 games in parallel one becomes less sensitive to single battles.
