  • Sorry, changing jobs, wife went on a weekend trip with girlfriends leaving me our 13 month old daughter, and other things going on. I won’t wait so long again. I also had several ideas with Japan, settled on this conservative plan instead of the attack 8 destroyers with air plan.

    Regarding this game, Japan’s turn…I expected to trade 1 fighter on average for the 3 destroyers killed by strafing, I got lucky and didn’t lose a fighter. The concept is, if I trade 10 for 24 its a long term advantage, even 20 for 24, but the option to trade 0 for 24 does remain and did occur. Watch me lose 30 for 24 next time ;) I basically didn’t want to trade ships (subs/destroyers to protect planes as its cheaper to lose 1-2 planes then throw 3 ships away-granted they could hit counter attackers, but at a disadvantage for the subs), figuring that I can remove enemy piece count while maintaining most of mine. This also preserves my precious destroyers ;)

    In Europe, I see a lot more turns before a final resolution.

    he just disappeared. he did not say anything but i assume he will not be back for a while, but will be drawn back to his addiciton of aaa.

    this game is still competitive, but not sure if he will want to continue it.

    A minor and 23 US strat bombers in Spain and waaaay too much Allied equipment in the ME

    But in the end the game did not give an answer to an “is bombers broken?” strategy.
    There is no doubt that bombers are an effective tool, especially from Round 4 because in Europe they can attack any VC once deployed.

    However the strategy “Bombers only supported by Inf-fodder from Novo and Ukraine” was imo not really executed in that game so I can just second allweneed that no rules adjustments seem to be necessary:D
