It may be a new book, but it’s an old conspiracy theory. It even inspired a suspense movie called Brass Target, released way back in 1978.
I’ve read alot on this subject, and although I voted “Yes it’s a conspiracy”…
I have to say that after all is said and done, after reviewing all the evidence, talking to all the players, and sifting through all the line items. The mostly likely truth is the official story. He died in a car accident.

––I, too, have read extensively on General Patton (40+ books) and I agree with Gar and his wording of the matter.

––And not that it matters,…but my Dad who served in Patton’s 3rd Army in Europe during WW2, and a Patton fan himself, thinks he broke one of his own rules (speed limit) and died in a car accident.

He was a little to volatile and not good in some public opinions, They wanted him out of the way and they got their desired results.
I also think he was one of the great Generals of all time and to get there you would need to have a personality like the way his was developed. I think he was a great man and individual also, a lot of respect for the man.
