    sorry for getting your hopes up, if i was in your shoes i would have been very happy with the results. you hit in sz39, sz22, killed an extra tac in yunnan, and got a 1% result in sz23. the only battle i did better than odds was keeping an extra infantry in burma.

    yeah triplea was bugging out and not letting me bring my fighters from kwangsi into sz33, even thou they could of landed on the carriers and the planes from sz35 could have landed in marianas. killing that feet would have been sweet, but i assumed you probably mocked up the turn and had the same bug i had of japan not being able to bring all their planes into sz33.

    Yunnan could have went a lot worse for you.  You scored a lot of hits when it mattered.  You have been charmed this game, and yet I think I’ve got a good shot

    it is funny how we perceive luck. i am sure that we remember bad luck much worse than good luck. this round you had much better than average results but feel like you have had bad luck. we both feel like the other player has had better luck in both our games. only way to find out is to go back over all the turns and check how results compared to statistical averages.

    I never said you had better luck in the first game.

    Are you sure I got lucky in Yunnan?  Sure looked like you scored a ton of hits in the first couple rounds.

    I know we all remember the bad luck more than the good, and when we get lucky a lot of times we’re like “oh, that was nice” and move on.  It’s a wonder we don’t all hate each other for saying the other one is more lucky.

    I will save my energy and not try to make an air-tight case.
    But I will say a couple things.

    Killing an extra sub and destroyer and saying “look, that was a 1% battle you won” shortly after you just annihilated Moscow with an extremely significant 6 extra tanks and that’s just comparing it to the median - if you were that far on the other side of the median you would have lost a LOT of planes - is kind of hard to swallow.

    You also lucked out in a very important Z97 battle.  You also lucked out on a very important German turn and lost no planes to AA or interceptors or anything.

    It doesn’t help me win, to convince anyone that I’ve had poor luck.  If you don’t play a real tight game the rest of the way, you will probably not win.

    But losing 1 extra tac in Yunnan and a couple destroyers - I don’t want to hear it.  You wouldn’t believe what happened to my Japan in my just-finished game against Snake.  He couldn’t miss.
    I’ve been on a brutal AA run - mine have been missing and theirs have been hitting - and you are part of that run.
    Good grief, I just lost my UK bomber over France on it’s maiden run.
    Agh - the more I talk about this game the more bad luck I remember.

    Just remember - when players complain about luck it’s usually because they’re worried about losing because you’ve been playing well.  And I’ve been on a very bad streak for a while now, so I’m frustrated and it’s not just this game.

    Alright, putting finishing touches on USA combat move.

    I asked Veqryn to put in something that shows movement points remaining on planes when you’re in the middle of a move, but I think he misunderstood me.  Anyway, my head is about spinning trying to remember where I can land all this air in the Pacific, and I only have like 8 planes  :-P

    Only took 1 destroyer hit, and it was fortuitously one that I brought a sub into…

    Nervous about every roll because I’m trying to get back in this and I’m still undefeated!  Maybe you can give me that first loss and I can relax, but I doubt that I will!  Zhukov and I are similar - we hate to lose!

    So roll them on the forum and edit the surviving units later!  Heck no I didn’t “mock up the turn” and have the same bug - I wouldn’t rely on that!  We play by the rules, not Triple A glitches!

    I encourage you to never let a Triple A glitch stop you from making a legal move again in the future!

    yeah it is funny how we just assume good luck, but obsess with bad luck. this reminds me i should not comment when i get bad luck as no one(especially my opponent) wants to hear about my “misfortunes”

    bad dice still bother me but much less than it used to. i just remember that it is a fun random game and having bad dice setbacks is all part of the fun. if i still got bothered by poor results, i would have to stop playing the game, as every game you are going to get great dice and horrible dice in different battles.
