Yah - wondering about another user name.

There was a guy who was a dominant A&A player around the time I started playing on this site.
He had a machine-like USA shuck and also put on heavy USA SBR’s.

If you were Hobo, you would have had this many transports, men and bombers in Algeria at least 1 round earlier…

The guy was legend, and his legend only grows with time.  We’re pretty sure he got bored winning easily all the time and retired.  He’s probably playing 4D chess now or something

I do like having US bombers around for their versatility, they are good for sending into amphibious assaults, terrorizing naval fleets, and if you have nothing better to do bomb the heck out of Europe.  I am not Hobo but I guess I’ll take it as a compliment that you mistook me for “a dominant A&A player.”  :-D

I think I went with more bombers than I usually do simply to increase risk/reward against a very good player.

well, that’s a consequence of two points :

1. sinking the allied navy in sz8 gave time for the axis to defend western territories, thus sending more units early on towards Russia

2. as I saw the KGF coming, I played Japan accordingly, thus going quite fast and heavily  towards the “south” way, and killing the uk forces there. In the meantime, Italy and Germany were able to transport two units a round directly on the russian front, and the tank dash just completed the work…

I was surprised to see the US1 buy too : at this point, you knew that your fleet was in danger, and did not built more navy to ensure units in Algeria on round 2. That definitely gave more money to Italy.
