Well according to the dice the axis win. Close game guys!

  • TripleA

Why did Japan refuse to go for the win in the Pacific? That is what is lame about this game, the axis had the odds to win it and the axis passed up on it.

Now an arbitrary ruling comes in and I can see it going either way.

You are special and smart and we all know you would have done it perfectly.  If you had run the Allies they would have dominated and won and if you had run the Axis you would have dominated and won.  We all know you are very special.

Not every game of Global should be designed to end in 7 or 8 rounds.  Yes, you can actually play a great game of Global that lasts 15 or more rounds. The Axis should not be forced to play a game of quick gains and a VC rush.  They can, in fact, play a strategic, methodical game designed to continually make gains in territory and strategic positioning.  Here, the Axis have in fact taken ground and focused on holding that ground while consolidating their forces. The only ground lost by the Axis in this entire match were gains in Russia on the Eastern Front, which the Axis traded successfully for Gibralter, Spain, Egypt, South Africa, naval dominance in the North Atlantic (z110, z112), air dominance in Europe, and all of China.  While all this was occuring, the Axis also gained the dominent position and strength in the Pacific without losing ground anywhere on the mainland, but while gaining ground.  In the next 3 rounds, the Axis will be rewarded for their patience and will only increase their lead in IPC production, territory gains, and strategic positioning.

Dutch probably could have pulled off the pacific victory already but wi convinced him we should have some fun in the middle east instead.

you know what i find so hilarious ow?  when erwinrommel dismantled and DESTROYED you in 3 rounds recently, you were all like “hey, i don’t always do optimal - geez can’t i just have some fun?”  The answer is yes, have all the fun you want - the difference between you and us is that we have fun AND win.

besides, in your games the dice decide the winner and as you already pointed out, we won the dice roll, so this one’s over already by your logic.

  • TripleA

germany botched barb, no russia take. how u do that, beyond me.

  • TripleA

Yes you can play a 90 round game of any board game, you can even play one that lasts your entire lifespan. At some point victory is just an island island.

maybe you’ll find out, when we beat you without taking moscow either.

  • TripleA

Great idea, go to judge ruling where the odds of you winning depends on how well you can persuade someone.

  • TripleA

Too bad the income is about even, tuv pretty close, and all that.

    Coin flip ruling imo.

  • TripleA

Time limit is time. Give us either of these teams. I do not care. It is cool the allies managed to stay in this game.

  • '12

silence cowpie - you have no say in the matter.

  • '10

MooBreath, we are playing on. The Tourny bosses have already decided so shut you Cow Hole.

this will allow you to play this game to a satisfactory conclusion while still keeping pace of the tournament.

What do you call a satisfactory conclusion? The official victory condition?
What is the new deadline for this game? April 30th or you plan to review the game in a month?

  • TripleA

You can put the probabilities in your hands or you can delay action leaving it to the judges.

The income is close. Do both sides have room for expansion? Yes. Now instead of having the dice in your hands it is 50/50 either way with the judges.

  • TripleA

Problem is you guys can play for another whole month, maybe something changes, maybe something does not.

Like Dutch said, you can have a great global game lasting all of eternity. Some of us live to win and judge rulings are not real wins, they are “you seem to have a better shot at it.”

  • TripleA

I know that I am going to collide with the winner of this match. I am not caving in, let another round begin. I am going to roll out hard.

  • '12

as usual you are making zero sense cow.

i do not think it is a good idea to extend the deadline much here.  the game has been moving quite slowly as it is (as the allies, the ancients are entitled to more time in my opinion, but how much time i don’t know), so i am concerned about the ancients playing another game in addition to this one.  would that mean twice as much time between their posts, or even more (with the added complexity of running multiple games)?  i would much rather see a faster post rate, and if that is not possible, then have the judges rule.  it seems very clear to me looking at this board that the axis has much room to expand, while there is little to no room for the allies to expand.  you are either just trying to get under our skin in stating otherwise, or you are just completely daft, and i’m truly not sure which - probably the latter.

i think two or three more rounds in this game will make the picture much more clear - i just hope we can get there relatively quickly.

    cheers
