    cause technically, the defender needs to have the casualties selected before he sees his/her dice

    If you want an opinion from the peanut gallery, i think Germany trades the hit on the CV for a DD and the planes go back on the carrier, US gets to retreat 1 sub out of that combat to account for extra rolls by dead DD.

    That’s a little bit more important than a fucking board-game. And with due respect to my team mates and other opponent your attitude and shenanigans are making this game more of a burden.

    Noll YOU missed the OOL.

    The OOL doesnt change any dice. We use the same dice, and change the order in-whicht hey are assigned.

    I appreciate the opinion from rgp44. He’s right.

    Because the way you suggested doing it you win either way. You’ve structured it that way because you feel like you’ve been unfairly disadvantaged in this game by laws of probability.

    So my options are:

    1. Take the rediculous OOL and allow my planes to be killed by infantry and my fleet to go undefended.

    2. You get to REPLAY the USA to compensate for a sub-par dice roll.

    You win either way. And you structured it that way.

    You got bad dice with the USA so you intentionally fucked the OOL so that the Brits could easily mop up and now that I’ve called you on it you want to redo the USA. Either way you were going to take out that fleet, rules and fairness be damned.

    Redo the UK. I will not accept a re-roll of dice just because you jumped the gun, ignored the rules and made up a goofy OOL for your oppenent that massively advantaged us.

    As for what the course of action is going to be - PER THE TOURNAMENT MODERATOR :D

    The culprit of the problem was that the Americans selected casualties without respecting the ability of their opponent to choose.  In order to minimize the size of the repair that needs to be made, I have to agree that the American turn stands, and that the game should be -RESTARTED- at the British turn.

    If there are any questions or appeals you can PM me personally, but I think that’s incredibly clear. Proceed.


  • I just don’t like the defender (after seeing how the rolls went) gets to change how the losses were applied.  That’s all.

  • I have to add, the game has to be “restarted” in a turn where 1inf 2rtl killed 3air units (7% chance?)

  • Asking a change of OOL without a re-roll on the knowledge of 2 fighters missing for 3 rounds (6@3 all misses) is a cheap move.

    Keeping the rolls with 1 less units for Germany starting round1 is also a cheap move.

  • I want to post my reasoning here instead of pming people.

    Q: Noll, why did you damage a carrier instead of asking OOL?
    A: For two reasons:
    First: as they urged us to finish the game I wanted to play fastly. I even wanted to bomb Japan’s IC in Malay and decided to NOT just to have not to ask if he wanted to intercept with his 1 fighter.
    Second: my attack power was enough to guarantee a hit on the carrier around round 2 or 3. So I tought the most wise thing for Japan was maximizinv fhe damage to my fleet (by taking the hit on he carrier) and to try to save 2 german air by landind them in normandy (and also protect normandy froma landing as Germany didnt had a counter attack for it.

    Q: what happen next?
    A: after round 1 I basically missed all my hits for 3 rounds, resukting in a disastrohs -48 tuv for usa. But during British turn I had an unexected turn of luck: I tried a landing in normandy with 1 inf and 2 artiklery against 2 fighters and 1 tac. Bomber. I scored enoigh hits to killl all his air due to sheer luck.

    Q: and then?
    A: then Canuck after seeinv hiw the turn went asked for a different order of losses and provides me to an edited save file of USA’s turn where he keeps my and his rolls (even though that in the event he killed 1dd or 1ss in the first round he had to roll 1 less dice for 3 rounds) and ask me to re-do the british turn. I don’t agree and here’s my reasoning:

    The average score of the american battle should have crippled that carrier. The defender should not know that “I will miss” enough rounds to keep the carrier intact. Also he shouldnt even know I might kill 3 air with 3 land units.

    Q: So what did you propose?
    A: To rsstart the game from the OOL assignment and roll from there to be fair. So I rolled the battle using the forum roller and it appears I s ored round2 enough hits to cripple the carrier anyway.
