In the Triple A version the AI controlling the US always takes the neutral (?) countries in south america. In my opinion only Brazil is pro allies and the rest is strict neutral. Is there a rule that says that the US can turn the south american countries into pro allies?

This is an AI-related bug.

There is - indeed - no such rule.
Don't always trust TripleA when it comes to rules questions. Know the rules before you start … and better check what TripleA has done.

Just found this thread, as I was looking for War Room on TripleA as well. Just discovered War Room (after playing 100s of AaA games), and also thought it is a nice alternative, very suitable to be played on TripleA, if there is a large enough following. Also willing to chip in.

I rolled 9/10 AA gun defence hits against a 2004(?) Europe Sealion by hand once. And I’ve seen plently more on this scale just as crazy (22 planes at 3 hit nothing)

Have I played hundreds of games of Axis and Allies? Yes. But not thousands. These things do happen.

That said - I do want to know more about MARTI and it’s code…

Have a writing talent that you would like to put to work? Or would like to contribute to TripleA but don’t know how?

We are drafting an idea for a TripleA blog. As the website admin, I am responsible for lining up some authors. I know that A&A.org has a great blog, and we thought that launching a blog devoted to TripleA would nicely cap the successful development of the new TripleA website, which will be official as of version 1.8.0.10. Potential topics for post may include:

Strategy for any of the TripleA maps, including WWII

Map design tips and tricks

Challenges and Tournaments

Showcasing a “Game of the Month”

Announcements

Most other TripleA related content (I am the editor, so I will moderate.)

Please post below if you would like to commit to writing a few articles a month, or even commit to contribution, in any form. We are looking for contributors, and are looking for anyone who would like to volunteer. If we get enough volunteers, the plan will go though. Please feel free to ask any questions below.

Right, this is supposed to be the only map-change from 1st editon to 2nd edition.
TripleA 1940 Alpha 3 for example reflects the map of the first edition,
TripleA 1940 Second Edition has the change, but only technically; that means that you cannot enter Yukon in (TA) G40 second edition.

I may something crazy here, but playing and finishing a 12 hour game is something I actually only enjoy off-line… Nothing beats an all-nighter. Sure the wives don’t like it, but they’ll come to terms with it, you’ll see

Nevertheless I agree on all remarks that shutting tripleA down is poor costumer management, as well as unnecessary from a sales point of view. (I even think that most TripleA-players not only have avg 3,5 AA boards at home, they’ll probably also have the hasbro cd-rom, which was a perversion of AA in my humble opinion - enough reason to assume an implied license I say)

There’s like maybe 50 people online on TripleA at any given time, anyways! Holy sh*t! Like these people would be playing a game at home! The ONLY way you’re going to be playing (and finishing!) a 12 hour Axis and Allies game is ONLINE!

Where’s a link to a petition or something? This is ridiculous, as there are MANY of the games available on the TripleA client that Hasbro has NO rights too! I could see them trying to get Classic or Revised taken out but the whole client is just FOOLISH.

Hell, how am I gonna participate in the ladder now, wanted to play matches over TripleA…

Edit: BTW, may I add I have CLASSIC, REVISED, AND AA50 SITTING IN MY CLOSET AT HOME. GATHERING DUST. TRIPLEA WAS THE EASIEST WAY TO FIND OPPONENTS AND GAMES. THANKS A LOT HASBRO. NEVER BUYING ONE OF YOUR PRODUCTS AGAIN.
