Very strange. On my roll I got 1 hit.
On your turn you got 2 (of course).
Then too many of my units rolled and I got 2 hits.
Then 1 too many of your units rolled and you got 1 hit.

The usual procedure is to reroll from round 2 in the forum.
So the round 1 dice stay.
Then you roll in the forum for the 3 remaining attackers and the remaining defender.
