  • yah at first i thought whoa! that’s a good move, swinging everything over to crack through the euro axis defenses…but then after some thinking about it, i realized that i had to really punish you for that bold maneuver. i think maybe you might’ve gotten away with it had you not committed everything over, as that many ships was overkill for the atlantic or med. also i felt you sacrificed way too much to get Egypt…you had a very powerful foothold in southern france, but then traded it for egypt, which was by far less important imo. forces in egypt were really just sitting there turtled up and not doing much harm.

    was also surprised you didn’t bring in your russian forces into eastern persia, to give you that one last chance at recovering india and saving you for yet another round. i guess maybe you didn’t think i’d go all out into india?

    great game man, as always, our games are quite intense!

    I know.  I had hoped to maintain my foothold in S Europe - but I had forgotten to factor in those 4 MInfs in Italy.  Silly me was thinking, Hey, I can take N italy and I won’t have to worry about those!

    I didn’t move the Russians to E Persia for 2 reasons - one that I’m sure you’d either block them or wipe them out, and the other that I honestly hadn’t considered you just stacking the heck out of India like that.  I was so concerned with everything else you might do with those transports…

    You know, this game (and several others) have convinced me that there’s just no way to win as the allies against a solid Axis player without getting your USA fleet down to Austrailia and keeping it alive with blockers, while keeping your transitioning fleet in Hawaii alive with blockers as well.  Nothing else I’ve tried seems to work at all.

    It has been an amazing game, and I thank you for it!
