@Curtmungus your honor of being more famous than me is quite deserved. I salute you.
Lunar coverup?

this was a poll in our office awhile back (i think there was a show on tv about it)
-
it was on fox, i actually watched it. :x
it was dumb.
-
I wasn’t around for it but I do not think it was a fake.

We have the rocks. We also have the story of the Astronaut who got frostbite from touching one of the rocks in the lander without his glove on.
There is some other agenda at work in that conspiracy aside from just trying to create mistrust of the government. I can’t fathom what it is but the attempts to make it science fiction are most likely from folks who simply can’t get their heads around it.
Remember the maximum number of people who can keep a secret is 3 and only if 2 are dead. Too many people involved for it to be a con.

The answer is simple, these conspiracy nut jobs make money selling books, videos, T-Shirts etc.

When faced with a situation you don’t understand look for the financial intrest. Indeed.
-
thats a great angle!
hell everythings a conspiracy. and i’m gonna write about it. and make money putting these bulls*** books into those “liberal reading circles” where all they do is find the newest most liberal book on the market"usually about politics" and then read it and talk about how crazy those conservatives are.
it must be true, look this author, this author, wrote it in a book. his word is golden, absolute fact, b/c why would a political author ever lie.
i’ll be rich, and liberals will be even dumber. so freaking awesome.
-
yeah, amazing it could even get ANY traction, but there are always nut-jobs or non-comformists that just HAVE to take an unrealistic side to any argument. we had 12 people in my department, most with B.S. (how appropriate ) degrees or higher and 3 claimed the conspiracy angle. i was slightly disturbed and frightened by the results, but most of them were younger and werent’ around when apollo was rockin’ :|
-
sadly the younger ones are completely surrounded by liberalism. and therefore more liking to disbelieve anything good about the government and believe everything bad about it. tv, the net, all pamper to kids trying to make sense of the world by destroying free thought and telling them how to think and act, to be cool and fit in. if you are not liberal like us, you’re just not cool. ha ha i laugh every time.
-
Yeah a few people I know actually believe that the government is behind 9/11 (they are young)

ajgundam5:

I personally think it is in bad taste.

i think your avatar is propaganda of al queda. it insult all 300 million Americans and all that ever and stand for America. IT is a disgrace to what ever country you are from(if Western). you are flaunting the slaughter of 3,000 people and the incompetency of the CIA. you are declaring the greatness and cunning of osama bin laden.
-
I am not doing any of that I just like the picture jeez I don’t think its such a big deal and I think you’re concerning yourself too much over something as stupid as an avatar
And I am from NY -
Enough.
Saying it is in bad taste is one thing. Getting into a wholesale bash because of an avatar is another.
-
i believe is is a bad avatar but “al queda propoganda” is a bit much.okay on topic
should we colonize the moon? do you think it would be worth it? -
I think the price would outweigh the results but it would be cool
