For what its worth, you didn’t do anything ‘stupid’ as far as Vichy-mod is concerned. The fighter to FWA is an extremely common move in Vichy-games (I do it almost every time), since it preserves a critical airlane to Egypt, as you noted.
So the Allies have in control to prevent Vichy with that FWA move and Axis can nothing do about it, right?
