  • Small change. Also a question. Does a submarine prevent the unloading of a transport? I still need your scramble orders however.

    Scrambling would be suicidal! Obviously no scramble.

    Submarines prevent an unescorted transport from doing an amphibious assault.

    I’m not sure about preventing the landing in NCM.

    Submarines do not stop anything in NCM, including lone transports.


  • Soulblighter asked me about the legality of the USA4 fleet move.

    With a Japanese surface warship in Z6 on USA4, USA ships in Z6 must either stay in Z6 the whole turn and fight, or leave in combat movement phase.  You moved most ships to Z19 in combat movement phase.  Those ships cannot move again in noncombat, so the re-entry to Z6 was absolutely illegal.  Also, the transport leaving Z6 can only load units that turn if picking them up in a different sea zone (like Z19) and then immediately dropping those units off in amphibious assault in combat move.  So picking up the artillery from China was also illegal.

    I will leave it up to you two to agree how you are going to resolve this - just let me know if you need any help with that or if you cannot agree.


  • Actually, isn’t it the same as if the fleet was left in Z6 the whole time anyway?  I don’t know why Roboto moved the fleet away and then back, but if he had just left it in Z6 for the combat movement phase it would be the same result as what you have on the map now, right?

    Just move the artillery back from Korea to the south in China (or leave it where it was at the beginning of USA4, whatever MrRoboto’s wishes are) as if you did not transport it to Korea (which is illegal)?

    Doesn’t that fix it?  Just disallowing the artillery loading to Korea?

    Ahh!  I see - thanks for explaining.

    Well then Mr Roboto needs to choose between allowing you the option to kamikaze his surface warships in Z6 or he needs to move them out and keep them out.  :-)
