Congratulation. If your G1 would have been properly, this hard mech strategy for moscow seems really strong. Too strong, even. -
GG Roboto . . and yes the mistakes early on with Germany slowed me down. And I learned NOT to try out new strats in league games. My Japan will take Egypt plan didn’t quite work out as planned. :wink:
And yes, I think you did play yourself out of the win. I immediately felt better about my position once US started landing in Europe, I figured US in Europe means less D in Egypt. Maybe you hadn’t realized how much Germany could get to Egypt. Still, it was a VERY close thing and I should have left more air in TrJ that one turn. Your strafe almost did me in and probably should have had you taken it.
As far as the Russian sub. I was delaying Japan until you weighed in to give you an opportunity to move it. It was scary in my mind as a potential can opener to kill a German dd. Probably would have cost me Norway several turns ago had you moved him earlier. It would have taken him a couple turns to get in position. But once he did, Germany would’ve had to retreat to the Baltic sooner. Anywho, GG.

I dunno about impressive. Different yes, but the whole purpose of the strat was a failure. I still got the win, but that was more in spite of the strat than because of it.
