I’m not sure if that particular bit of footage (which looks rather staged) originated in either Russia or Hollywood, but my understanding is that The Battle of Russia was presented in Russia during the war and was very favourably received.
Speaking of medium bombers, I feel for the Japanese bomber crews who operated the Betty, which was a flying gas can. Although it must be nice to have a 20 mm cannon for a tail gunner.
While it is true that the basic idea for the chasis was concieved by an american the T-34 was far from being designed by one. Many fine russian designers spent their talents on this fine tank.
