getting too late, and too sloppy. gnite
karl. -
karl just hold off on russia - i have to do some more thinking on this
G22 noncom with a clear head. thanks -
we’ve come too far in this epic game for me to do something as thick headed as last time.
-
Yes, understood. It took me awhile to realize I had to move my fleet back with the Japanese sailing off Rome. I’ll take a look but will wait until morning to move.
-
I probably shouldn’t say anything, but Germany is exposed to a 1,2 punch. Maybe a long shot, but at this point….
-
hate to have the game end on a sneak move like last time.
talk about honor! why am I saying this?
-
Very fascinating strategy… you use Cairo to lock out Allied pacific forces and then double down with Japan against the Atlantic Allied forces, which also renders China useless.
Hmm… yet, Anzac continues to pump ftrs into Russia.
-

Heh now now Karl. There is nothing I watch more closely than a 1-2 punch on germany. But feel free totell me what you are planning all you want.
But the reason I asked for more time is I had a nagging feeling I was about to make a suboptimal move by going so quickly so late and sleep deprived. So please just wait until I have had time to study the board further in depth and we can continue. My xdap move needs to be the next move I make and on too of that weekend are toughest for me.
-
remember that big blunder I made in the last game when I move Japanese fleet into range of the US fleet? remember then how incredibly lucky you got when you attacked the japanese fleet. Remember how I asked for a redo and you said no and I agreed? Thats exactly like the jeff game. The goal of this game is to outsmart and outmaneuver. If every time we did so we just allowed the opponent off the hook it wouldnt be much of a game would it. He allowed me to redo an illegal move only because it was illegal. Not fair to then ask me to let him go back and completely reorient his forces after I showed him my plan. Cmon this one is obvious no?
-
So again just wait before going in this game I need to take a comprehensive long term look at the board before completing this noncom. We are entering the endgame and I need to be fully prepared for everything the allies can bring at me.
Cheers
-
as you may be able to ascertain my goal with this game was to recreate the situation in last game so I could refine the strategy and show you what I intended to do if I had not exposed the jap fleet and gotten whamboozled by that incredible roll :-P
-
That force in iceland is exactly what was in the back of my head but not fully registered yet. I promise you something was nagging at me to pull more troops back 2 West Germany and Germany. both for this turn and possibly future turns. I am well aware that the threat level is incredibly highthis game has reached a fever pitch.
-
no it just had simply said hold on I need more time to think about my USA noncom I would have been happy to give him unlimited time.
-
I think I have a pretty solid plan at this point for how I’m going to win this game it’s just the particulars of the next 1 to 2 rounds but I still have to work out and I know that this moment is critical that is why I ask for more time on the Germany noncom. Thanks
-
Hey, take what time you need. You know me.
This game is similar but not exactly the same. Without looking, I think the Allies have more money this time but the Axis are in better position.
