    I concede.  Losing the 95% in SZ96 costs me the Mediterranean, and by extension, the game.

    Sorry I didn’t save it after I reviewed the outcome.  Oddly enough I actually won the Tobruk battle even though my odds there are something like 45% after losing Malta.

    The end result is no losses for Italy in the Malta SZ, Malta has Inf + AA + Bomber, SZ 98 I think I just took a Fighter as loss so I’d have max units in the SZ for the German counter attack.  Tobruk has UK Tank + Art, Alexandria is empty.  Egypt has 4 units rolling at 2.  SZ 98 has a retreated TT with Inf + Art on it.  Since Italy is left with 2 TTs, on your turn you get to sink my TT for free and have greater than 75% odds of taking Egypt I1.  If you fail, then you just get it I2 since I can’t do anything round 2 except move in the French Infantry while you have the Ethiopian troops plus whatever else you can ship in I2 if you are smart and buy another TT round 1.  You clinch the deal with German air if need be.
