You were right about my forgetting to land the tact, but my mechs belonged on FRA. The two mechs that invaded SFR died. The two mechs on FRA were survivors of the battle for FRA. Germany starts with 4 mechs total on WGR.
So I put the mechs back in FRA which is where they fought during CM.

Regarding Yugoslavia, I think it’s good to retreat not just to threaten a G2 invasion of the Soviet Union, but also to soften it up for Italy. Especially when I’m taking SFR with Germany, Italy really needs Yugoslavia to have a decent economy.
For now, the survivors in Yugoslavia remain pro-allies neutral. So they could still, in theory, be activated by an Allied power … but they can’t do anything except wait until they are attacked or activated (just the same as if they were never attacked, minus their casualties).
