Looks like UK took its moves from Owentoo’s playbook against me. I had considered moving the remaining planes from Japan > Kwangsi, in case you stacked in Szech, so I could consider an all air attack. As it is now, I would lose too many planes. It would only be worthwhile if I had enough planes to wipe you out on round 1, to make it cost effective. Going to a meeting, so Italy turn will be late.

The UK opening move consolidation in the Med stifles Italy. Owentoo used it on me and I had no good answer. I looked at other opponents UK opening moves and/or their opponents Italian responses. UK fleet can sink the Italians, so they are confined to sz97. A move to Alexandria would require German air defense and even then, the UK could sail to Egypt and block an amphibious invasion. I could take N.O. isles, but you could retake them and sink my transports. UK transport and plane can attack Ethiopian army, so I went to where you weren’t likely to destroy it on UK2. German air losses in the Eng Chan require that the Luftwaffe leave Italy and Africa for now.

I looked to make sure I had made every move, but as soon as I placed my units, I noticed that I hadn’t moved my subs from Canada. The good news for me is that your AA missed. The bad news is I rolled a 1. Its not worth risking a TB to attack bases, since they don’t get the bonus, and you only need to repair any damage over 2 points.

Can’t see a fault with owentoo’s uk start plan at the moment…losing egypt as allies last time against you cost me the game eventually. As it stands egypt is virtually impregnable and production can soon start in the ME
