    you’ll see I decided to attack the US fleet with the Italian air. the aim was to soften it for the Germans. A gamble, but it seemed to have paid off. I made an error in taht in thinking this was just a one off attack I took the bomber as a casualty (it could only land in Tunisia is why) but because I had a very lucky roll, I actually want to do a second round with the Italians so I thought I would roll again and would want to keep the bomber. What I thought I could do is just continue the combat and assume the final dice roll is from the bomber.

    I also took as your casualties that which would allow for max defense in the subsequent attack. That is, I did not tilt the carrier so that a fighter could still land there. Of course you might have a different casualty order in mind. Although if you tilt the carrier, I am definitely withdrawing after one round.

    The save I posted can allow us to fix anything if my assumptions are wrong. And on the odd chance that the final dice roll is a 4 (so a bomber would hit and a fighter wouldn’t) I’m fine accepting it as a fighter. It was my mistake for not adjusting my thinking quickly enough based on the roll.

    My comment below was adjusting a casualty choice after the fact. I wanted to keep teh bomber which I had taken as a casualty. Regardless, the rolls were such that it wouldn’t make a difference. But there might have been choices that you would want to have made differently.
