I thought about putting 2 Bri trans and 4 inf into Greece to make it more defensive, but then you might use your air to crush it and let the USA fleet sit, since it doesn’t have enough ground troops and would use up air. But thought that I would force the air attack on USA fleet. Bat calc odds were against you, but if I take hits to the cv, my figs will crash if you retreat and if Bri loses Gre.

Your lack of moves in Rus makes it sound like you have in fact, conceded. The battle for Rome would have been tough despite all the USA air, I have only 4 troops to absorb hits and take it. If you had stacked all the N. Ita troops, USA would have had to take air hits. Maybe Bri troops on the 2 trans would have taken it. Ha, Bri capital captured, but it captures Ita capital. Not much cash from Rome anyway.
So continue or not? USA is amassing an invasion fleet to be defended by dd and subs, but still not enough to take London, perhaps Fra. -
No, it is over. My early mistake missing a lot of troops on battle calc that crushed my force around G5 or so permanently halted any offensive into Russia, while my many mistakes as Italy wasted too much time and IPCs. I’d play again, though. Switch sides again to have your preferred Axis have another crack?

How about redoing T9 and using Ger bombers to attack Bel with all available Ger troops. You had about a 55% chance. The Ger TB and figs couldn’t reach, so they would stay in Ita and defend. Plus, Ger take Gre.

If we had continued with no retreating for Ger (per Hitler’s orders), Rus would have captured Novo, E Pol and likely Romania. In our 1st game, you, as Rus, relied on inf for defense. I chose art and later tanks for flex, more balanced attack/defense. It’s amazing that I won this game, considering I didn’t have the use of Bri to build 30 pu every turn. The luck of the dice also favored me more later in the game. Particularly in the more critical battles. The Ger all out building for Bri in T2, took Bri out, but gave Rus an extra turn of builds. As you can see, Europe is balanced, because USA only gets 17 more PUs for Pacific, but usually allocates much more in Global. Thus Ger can mostly ignore USA in Europe.
