I’ve been reviewing both games Paksos…
Do you want a formal debrief after the games? Things to look for, things to try differently?
That said, I have to say that I learned something very interesting from watching your play. Specifically how you have held Leningrad in our game, and probably will for another 2 turns… a very interesting ploy indeed!

I did like how Paksos made use of the Siberian troops in our game. I really did not want China to push forward while seeing the Russians come back in Amur. That was a good move and could work against a Japanese player with less experience.
Paksos needs to tweak his UK play a bit. If you play as aggressive with UK in face of a player that is ready for Sealion, Russia has gotta be more aggressive.
As America, don’t focus on transports and troops until you can adequately protect them.

Good shooting in Borneo, reminds me of the opening round in Kwangtung. All these situations make India much stronger than it ought to be.
Many opportunities are emerging for Japan in the Pacific.
Japan has a good chunk of Russian income coming through, can’t complain about that.

Other advice:
Transports are the Axis’ lifeblood. They create initiative and they are expensive units to replace. Always look for opportunities to destroy them. Another tactic is to add to your navy / airforce to neutralize this threat. If you add to your Navy / Airforce, you force the Axis to match your purchases to protect their fleet.
Always look for opportunities to kill planes. In Garg’s game, you had the opportunity to pick up one Italian bomber and 1 fighter by dropping troops and raiding with planes.
Don’t invade until you can hold / benefit from it (especially in Europe). On the Pacific theater, it’s good to trade Islands with Japan, but only if you can sink the transport that will take the island back (hence the importance of maintaining a strong navy / airforce in the area).

I’ve also noticed that you tend to use a fall-back defense style… when in fact, you could put up defenses that would basically prevent an attack by me.
India is a good example, you have 16+ units sitting there protecting nothing (India not under significant threat), and also threatening nothing. They should all have moved to Burma two and three turns ago, with only just enough left in India to prevent it’s capture.
Also… understand income, and NO’s. This entire game is about $. If you play for the money - regardless of capitals etc, in general you will win.
I’ve noticed a few times that Russia did not capitalize on it’s NO’s… or on possible attacks.

I think biggest problem I’m having with these games is loss of London - UK is my favourite power to play as and I tend to be very UK-centric in my Allies outlook. Losing London blew all my plans right out of the water!
