    I just ran the odds on that sea battle a handful of times. Big variance, ranging from -16 to -40. But +170? That’s got to be the craziest victory I’ve seen on Triple A. There’s no way I can recover.

    Anyway, I see now how Axis can win, which was my goal for this match. I will concede. The only front I’m doing alright in is Russia(and China, only because they have been ignored by Axis), but that hardly matters when Axis will swallow Africa, Mid East, and southeast quarter of map.

    Very well played and thank you for the match! I won’t ask you to reveal how to beat your own strategy but I do wonder how you would counter your own Italy 1 as Britain…

    It was a gamble, for sure. I see now that my surviving units should have been only 7 instead of the mass I was left with.

    HOWEVER! I feel you are throwing the match FAR too early. This game usually doesn’t conclude until somewhere in the double digit rounds.

    I am still down in production by a full 90ish, I have NO offense going on against Russia as Germany, mainland China has nothing to worry about, Russia looks poised to swoop down and crush my forward deployed factory, and Japan is still only making 63 a round.

    What I like in particular is that this game can forgive one big loss such as this, because of all the increased incomes. The US still has at least 14 naval units in the Pacific.

    I predict you will go on to win if all things go as planned and there are no big crushes like this round. Your main threat is how to contain Italy in Africa while protecting India. But taking Africa doesn’t really win you the game, I need Moscow or London, which I currently don’t see with the squeeze Germany is under.

    I think this game could go on for a long while. In my mind, this lucky win puts the odds back closer to 50/50, as I was feeling under tremendous pressure. Japan isn’t poised to make a lot of quick gains for money, as those typically come from Russia and China, which aren’t possible right now.
