@Richter: Don’t ask for the cost… Its a collectible minis game after all, but I already have loads of basic infantyr 50+ Mosin Nagants (Russian Soldier) 30+ Arisakas (Japanese Soldiers), MAuser Rifle, SMLE Rifle, M1 Garand Rifle, 20+ Fucile (Italian Soldiers) Subs are cheap (though no russians so far) Destroyers are also under a $ per piece As a minis gamer its affordable to trade away surplus stock for units needed for th game if you start from Scratch and buy “singles” it will be expensive. its an option for us who already own many pieces But for Italians alone: (the online shop I order my pieces) price per piece Ambra (Submarine) 0,19$ Luca Tarigo (Destroyer) 0,79$ OR Ugolino Vivaldi (DD) 0,39$ E.F. Duca D’Aosta (CL) 1,79$ OR Eugenio di Savoia (CL) 1,29$ Vittorio Veneto (BB) 7,99$ - are really big - the Giulio Cesare BB is a bit smaller but costs 8,99$ NO CARRIER AVAILABLE ATM NO TRANSPORT AVAILABLE ATM C.202 Folgore - fighter 1,39$ - a stand has 3planes that are molded together, but you might be able to cut them… SM.79 Sparviero - twin engine Bomber 2.59$ Fucile Modello (infantry) 0,49$ 47/32 Antitank Gun (Arty) 0,39$ Carro Armato M11/39 2,29$ - L3/35 Tankette 0,59$ (the latter is quite small and currently not available, the foremer relative big) prices change wwith demand the Rusian Mosin Magant costs around 3 times the Fucile… How much a nation costs depends largely on how many units of each type you probably will need… Wow, thank you for those prices;  It looks like I’m sticking with plastic for now

Welcome to the forums Merlin!  My brother, a work friend and I played a game this weekend.  We started at 9am and went on till 6pm!  The game did manage to finish with Axis getting 16 Victory cities.  Our games usually take a long time because we do not get to play often, so my brothers and cousins go at a slower pace.  If you get to play more frequently, people will fall into their groove and the game should start flowing faster.  Good luck with the next game!

HT1… You sonnofabitch!  Been dreaming about this game for a while my friend. Despite the piles of HBG plastic at my house, I have reorganized my AA50 game into the finest that WOTC has to offer! I have taken all the best plastic and paper and put into one box. Thankfully I have piles of HBG plastic at my house so I can play G40 and GW39. See you on the battlefield! No doubt pics and AARs to follow.

Except first rnd, Jap killed my BB, all US units went to Europe. The problem with the -41 scenario is that US must use much more ipc to build a sustainable fleet than in the 42 scenario. I did not play effective as allies though, with not killing German fleet UK1, I screwed US purchases etc. Maybe I played too aggressive with Russia, but I think Germany + Italy could take Caucasus anyway. Game wouldnt end if I didn’t take Berlin, unless the attempt was a failure Axis player slowed Jap himself with not taking either Philly or Borneo and east Indies J1, but the Jap beachhead in Asia was as strong as the Normandy landings, so there is not really an opening to KJF, more than in AAR. SJF is important where it can be done. I killed a lone Jap trans with DD, these things are mistakes that will happen sometimes, until we get used to the new rules.

@Black_Elk: It would make a lot more sense if you just put a “house rules” sub-forum in each category, instead of continually moving the threads around. I can’t imagine a topic worth discussing, in any section, that isn’t going to verge on a house rule at some point. Besides the current House Rules is section is all over the place anyway, and rather hard to navigate, since stuff gets dumped their from all over the rest of the site. I totally agree with you.
