Interesting dice rolls. I had some good dice at low odds, like the sub off of Brazil. There were several battles like in Yunnan, where the Chinese missed completely on round 1, but so did my defenders. And UK in Brit Som rolled poorly, but I only rolled average. So the dice didn’t let me take advantage of your poor round 1 dice, to upset the odds by me rolling many hits.

That’s the second time that a single Russian defender hit an Italian tank. It wasn’t necessary that Italy take Belarus, but I was hoping for income producing property. Also, didn’t want a German plane out of position if it was used to attack Belarus instead. BTW, my prior post was written after the Japanese move, but apparently it sat in draft and didn’t post until I just noticed it.

@FMErwinRommel Yes the defending units are rolling well in this game…I did feel quite aggrieved that every defender hit against the US on their turn tbh. And the rolling in somalia was a joke for both sides!
I am feeling more comfortable this game with a checked italy…although the north african army is still powerful

Seems like if UK ruled the Med then the Allies won, but if Italy broke out in the Med or Russia, then the Axis won. But now that I know that the Euro Axis must focus on Russia and limit their response to the UK consolidation. we’ll have to see what happens. If Germany pushes Russia into Moscow early, and doesn’t get stalled, it can generate enough income to hold off the U.S. and UK And if Japan can build up and maintain income around 70, and maintain pressure on India and the Pacific, then it can tie up the Allies, and not let them divert most of their resources against the Euro Axis.

@FMErwinRommel I played against sovietishcat as axis recently, and although he crushed japan, due a mistake of mine as to where planes could land…I eventually won with germany even against the rest of the world. I was able to keep my income up in 100’s…he retreated like you did to the caucasus, but made the mistake of invading the neutrals, which opened up a second front for me to exploit…was touch and go for a bit though!
