    I had accidentally miscalculated and sent the fig from Carolines to hit the tt, thinking all my planes would be able to land somewhere. so I chose to use the dd instead (which was going there anyway), so that my tac could have a place to land instead of crashing down. the Carolines plane simply “flew” to Kwangsi instead (edited there)


  • in other words, nothing was added. still have the same # of planes as when I started (11 figs and 8 tacs). I didn’t lose any planes during actual combat. just miscalculated which caused the tac to crash, but that wasn’t necessary since I didn’t need to send the Caroline fig to hit the tt when I had my dd going there anyway.

    no problem, and sorry about that, it’s rare but I do sometimes miscalc the air landings when doing the first Japanese DOW and there are so many battles involved. in this case it was a miscalc that didn’t affect any dice rolls or combats, as it was a tt kill which was better accomplished by the dd than by the Carolines plane.

    yah first time I’m trying it as far as I remember, and I like how it worked out. not without some drawback and risk, tho (e.g., I usually prefer normandy for G so I could build ships there if needed; also, it redirects that valuable can-opening tank away from the eastern front. but still it’s a nice idea for allowing G to go all in on France while still providing the option for Vichy.
