I thoght I could bring in 2 ftrs, but thought the computer was being dumb (which it can sometimes) but now I see it was right.
Nonetheless, the custom is to keep as many dice rolled as possible, so I would just subtract the extra dice from my roll right to left and then roll any extra units you would have had without the dice. Make sense?
Here I will demonstrate:
So my roll was originally 9 ftrs:
5,3,1,2,6,2,5,2,3
I got 6hits, but rolled 2 extra, so taking 2 off the right I have 1 less hit for 5 hits leaving you 3 damaged carrier 2 dds, and 2 ftrs.
You rolled R1 (3cv, 4dd, 2ftrs):
1,5,6,6,4,5,3,5,1 and got only 2 hits.
So round 2, I rolled 7 ftrs
2,1,2,3,6,2,1 - but I should only have rolled 5. So taking off hits mean I only got 4 hits, leaving you w/ 1 dd and 2ftrs presumably
So you rolled R2: 2,1,3,3,5,3 for 3 hits. But you have 1 extra dd
