  • If there are multiple amphibious assaults, something that happens quite a bit in the Pacific, would you roll each naval battle and then it’s corresponding amph assault before moving on to the next naval battle/amph assault combo? Or could you roll all the naval battles that clear the way for the amph assaults and then roll the amph assaults themselves?

    No problem.

    You need to read at the beginning of “phase 3: conduct combat”, which is page 16 in the 2nd edition Europe rule book.

    Yes.

    No.

    Page 18, under “Step 3. Land combat”
    It says after the sea battle, you put the ground units on the battle strip.
    Playing face to face, you would only have one battle on the battle strip at a time.
    To put the ground units on the battle strip after resolving the sea combat necessarily means that the corresponding land battle will take place next, before any other battle.

    Of course, with multiple amphibious assaults, the player has complete control over the order of them, but all amphibious assaults must be resolved before resolving any non-amphibious assaults, just as all SBR’s must be resolved before any amphibious assaults are rolled.

    And yes, at times this rule about the order of combat is critical.  Unfortunately, Veqryn doesn’t see it and hasn’t programmed Triple A to enforce it (and yes I’ve tried).

  • I’m cool with stuff like that. I’m usually pretty chill about edits and such. So long as I don’t think someone’s trying to cheat or take advantage of something. I’m a little touchy on edits after combat dice though, it depends on the situation. I try to play as if we were facing each other across a table.  You forget stuff and sometimes I’ll let it slide and sometimes I won’t.
