We just did the 39 set up for the G40 board. The Axis won game 1 and the Allies won game 2 and 3, watch out for that Russian TT. Japan took Hawaii on one in all 3 games

2 weekends ago my friend Scot played the Axis with the 39 set up and the way Japan starts you can take Hawaii on one and the U.S. cant take it back or hurt the Japanese fleet, I was U.S. and Russia, China too. I tried to hit the Jap. fleet and dump in the Pac. Japan got too big and Germany didnt have enough pressure put on them and was able to do okay, Italy was tough to gain any ground. Japan won game 1, it took about 5 hrs, my friend Jeff was U.K. and Anzac
Game 2 Jeff was the Axis, I was U.K. and Anzac and Scot was Russia, U.S. and China. Russia has a TT in the Baltic and Jeff left Berlin empty, and well that was game over that happened on 4. Germany attacked Russia on 3. That game took about 2 1/2 hrs. U.S. ran the fleet to the atlantic and dumped heavy on the East coast, the U.S. was going to be a major threat eventhough Russia steped into Berlin
Game 3 I was the Axis I failed to take France with Germ. and Italy had to take it. It helped them a little with the boost but Germany really needs the $. My Japan was doing okay but Germany had too many forces on them and I gave up on about 8, I attacked R1, that game lasted about 4 hrs.
My table top dice have been bad for about a month and a half, I remember when they went south I had just come off a victory with Germany and then I could hit a thing, I should have played the Naval mini.'s and then I said “my dice cant get any worse” well they did. They’ll come back around it happens all the time a couple of good games and then some where you just take your pieces off

Next time I’m not attacking the U.S. on G1, and I think Japan will concentrate on getting the Islands bonus. Check out empiremans 39 game for G40 board
