    Japan surviving with 4 ground units in Yunan is bad for the allies. Not getting a single hit round 1 was the problem. If you had gotten one hit there, things would have been easier. I often see bids that also include an artillery unit for the chinese and I think that is the way to go. It at the very least helps you get back Yunan in cases like this.

    Scramble three fighters. Ask for OOL.

    It is. However. I don’t think Tobruk and Ethiopia are worth taking this much risk. You overextended your allied forces and took some (big) gambles. Ethiopia was less then 50% odds. If you included bombardment from the cruiser, the odds might have been slightly better. Still a risky battle. You attacked Tobruk under the assumption a 92% battle would swing your way. Now 92% of the time it works out, but in this case it didn’t. We can look at the state of the game after the uk turn is said and done. At this point I might be willing to act like ethiopia didnt happen as that was just a plain massacre, but not sure how that helps the allies. Still finishing the uk turn first seems best.

    As for OOL. cruiser 1 hit and bb 1 hit.

    Soulblighter, I didnt expect to win Ethiopia, I am not a rookie. But one hit? Also, the Cruiser couldnt go there because it might have been needed to block 37, cause due to super Yunnan dice over Japan and China I was vulnerable in Burma to TTs. Without a J1 DOW CR would have gone to Africa.

    Not even taking Tobruk, come on. I cant go for 100% all the time as allies. The battle was 98% and have 5,6 units left on average. Ok, the sea loss brought that to 92, with 4,3 remaining. Oc things can go wrong, but as Allies, if Yunnan, Africa, naval ALL go wrong, thats really hard to take.

    And as for taking the “risk”, with your bombers I really cant let so many Italians live in Africa, I think.

    Look, nothing personal, and your offer in Africa is much appreciated - and wont be accepted, as the risk is mine. I know I handle, at times, dice not as cool as I should in a dice game, sorry for that. But at times I feel its not a game of skill and wits at all.

    I dislike playing the allies. Not sure why. In the past I have won as the allies, but I just don’t like playing as the allies. Doesn’t mean I won’t play as the allies, but I just prefer not to.

    As for you reporting this game. That is entirely up to you. If you feel you can’t come back from this, then you should report it. I intended this game to last into the new league season, but I can understand if you wish to avoid starting the league with a loss.

    And just for clarification, I acknowledge that sz 97 was a 75% risk and Ethiopia a 50/50 (actually less) with the goal to take away 1 or 2 units. Its the cumulative going wrong of the 90s in Tobruk and sz 96 and two times 80s in Yunnan also that made me despair. Apologies if you felt personally attacked.

    I agree. It is the fact that everything seems to have gone wrong that has placed the uk in a horrible position. However JDOW 1 is always bad for the allies. Given the JDOW 1 results it was going to be hard for the allies either way. Now it is harder still. It isn’t over however. Also I don’t mind. You can still make ncm changes if you feel like it.
