    Dude, that West Turkey battle was harsh!

    You know, I’m beginning to think that Romania (of all places) is one of the keys for Axis play.  Not saying I know much (I don’t), but it does really open up another front that could be a key (we’ll get to see on that one).

    Do you get the feeling that this game almost operates in waves?  Like, you can really almost overextend and have to move on back (for example, Japan in Australia – the vacation’s been fun) to a more stable position.  This kind of push and pull has been very interesting.  Russia has almost blown Hisaichi off the mainland, but that’s what is (in part) allowing Romania a bit more freedom.

    Another thing I like – I will almost never EVER send a bomber stack by itself against a bunch of land units, for obvious reasons…  :lol:

    Strangely, the unit balance here makes almost more sense than anything else I’ve played.  What are your thoughts there?

    I like the unit balance … Stukas and Katyushas seem a little cheap, but they balance each other out since they’re limited to Germans and Soviets.

    I think you’re mostly right about waves as well. Probably because the map gives more room to maneuver and production is more distant on average than G40.

    I think the biggest problem with Finland/Romania getting large is simply the Soviets lack of production. If Russia loses even 1 factory in Europe, they are in tough spot to mobilize enough men in the right spot. Plus, they have nowhere good to build any extra ICs since Ukraine/Minsk are too close to Germany.

    I think I should surrender this match.

    Even though I can probably keep ANZAC alive, there’s no way I can keep the Soviets alive.

    I can’t spare enough Americans to really push Italy.

    The only part of the map where I’m doing okay is China, but still not good enough to sack Seoul.

    Hey, no worries on the speed – I’m just wanting to get a few more in before the tournament starts.  Whack’s going all crazy on my sh*t in our game, Borneo and Leningrad are both down round two, and I’m not even sure I’m behind (as Allies) – ignorance is bliss!  :)
