    just so you’re aware, there’s a sneaky little rule that if you attempt an amphibious assault on a territory and there’s a sub there, it can surface for defense as long as at least one plane scrambles from that territory. without the scramble, the sub could be ignored, however. consequently, since you don’t have a dd in the med, you wouldn’t be able to defeat the scramble + sub defense and, therefore, you’d be unable to complete the assault.

    i wanted to give you this heads up because it’s an easily missed rule that could throw off your entire plans. at least you now have a  heads up and can plan accordingly.

    i ran into this problem very recently and was caught off guard by it, so i didn’t want that to happen to you.
