Ah, I should’ve said something. Basically, I could pull off the attack by moving all my combat ships out and then just doing the landing with transports, negating the Kamikaze action. I was just lazy and didn’t do it.

hmm, but wait, then you would have been able to scramble so i would have had to pull off a number of planes to keep you from doing that. So, my attack would have had less planes. Hmmm…
It was late last night and I do not recall been prompted for the scramble orders.
You want me to redo the Korea battle with less planes?
Looking at what I had, I would have kept 3 ftrs in 6 and then brought over 2 bombers to cover the landing (that would be enough I think), leaving 5 ftrs, 1 tacb for korea.

so, even if we were to use the other system of taking off right to left I still would have cleared.
