    France went below average.
    While my last 3 Axis opponents all won the 106 gamble, mine didn’t pay off.

    And 110 of course with +16 was below average as well.

    Actually only 111 was great - I even had a lot of overkill there.
    And happy that Normandy went smoothly, too.

    Except i lost computer power, and will have to replay turn with edits. Should not be big deal, US and China did not attack, and UK only attacked SZ96. Unfortunately for me, the DD hit. You should see the dice rolls at 11:15 PM.

    @MrRoboto Yeah, after the Yunnan thing totally blew up, I"m left with nothing in the Atlantic and no reinforcements. The no buy G1 forces me to be overly cautious in UK.

    I really hated losing a ftr in Med, that makes holding Egypt that much harder early on. Putting a sub in SZ91 to take that hit seems so much more useful now.

    Many people really like a ftr in Scotland, and I have done many times. But I just don’t see the advantage…although its because my opponent has always bought a CV G1 so that he has a navy to attack any remaining fleet in SZ111. Sure it could go to SZ109 for scramble defense, but the Germans will have overwhelming airpower and just crush everything.

    I’m still looking for the best bang for my buck with bid. Yunnan could be that, but it has a terrible downside, if it doesn’t work. I’d rather not be committed to a 50-50 battle round 1. Purchases of subs in Med and Atlantic seem to save ships and give more flexible options without committing too much.

    That’s why I try to get an Allied bid of at least 15.
    I consider the 2 subs off Gibraltar and Egypt essential and can’t remember the last time I played allies without them.

    I am willing to risk the russian planes in Yunnan.
    They are not super useful anyway - taking the occasional German infantry during their advance to Moscow is nice, but not a big deciding factor.
    Shooting down some Japanese planes during Jap1 though…

    And often times they shoot down Japanese planes and can retreat in RUS2 to do their normal work in which case Russia hasn’t really lost anything.

    @MrRoboto Are you getting your dice rolls? I see them for G1, and the Allied turns, but not J1 or I1. But actually looking closer, on G1 it only shows the AA round and the first round of battles. SZ111 and Yugoslavia are skipped.
    Now it’s unknown whether the Allied rolls will show up correctly because I haven’t attacked in a large battle that lasted past 1 round.

    Are you using a different version of Triple A, maybe?
    I’m using 2.6.14394.

    It’s been a known bug for months now. Apparently Yahoo Mail works better and dice rolls are not getting lost there.
