@mikawagunichi I had to replace the new PC I had gotten. And I again need your help getting 2.6. So could you pls walk me through the correct steps. I am unable to replicate my last go at this.

now its not letting me open the game.

it says ‘No game selected’ after I select our game

@max334 Is it loading the emails and game number etc? Or are you getting that message before you even get to that point?

not sure. It loads our game, but then when i press play it says no game selected

i just downloaded Java, but that didnt work

So you click

1. Play by email
2. Open saved game
3. Play

After 2) do you see the game details populate? Do you get the no game selected error after 2) or 3) ?

After 3. It fully populates and acts like it wants to work but then when you press play it nuts up and says no game selected

One option is let’s see if we can get a brand new game started. We don’t have to play the game but let’s just see if we can get it working on my new computer

@max334 OK. BTW - at some point since we started this game they fixed the issues people were having with “play by forum” on the current version. So we can use that, it removes any manual work from saving and posting the game file. I will set up a new one, we could also use it as a placeholder for rematch when we switch sides.

Use the “play by forum” instead of “play by email” menu and let me know if you can load it.

Okay good I’ll try to open the game when I get back home. My thoughts on a new game are that I want to try to play the Allies again just because I feel like I didn’t put much thought into the game when we started. You’re obviously not a novice player and I just don’t feel like I’m ready to play the axis against a competent player
