    OK.  I’ve never seen this happen before.

    Something went totally crazy when I concluded my combat moves.  First MARTI dice went into a crazy loop with the bombing raid.  I had to keep clicking on OK like 100 times before it stopped flashing.  Then it didn’t show my rolls in the naval combat.  When I saw I got zero hits I thought it must be a mistake, and that my dice just didn’t roll, but I checked my email and sure enough I got zero hits and you hit with all but one.

    That sucks in itself, but now that craziness my whole game is frozen.  I can’t do anything.  I can’t do non-combat, I can’t click on edit game.  Nothing.

    Any ideas?

    I’ll post it.  Maybe you try opening it and see if you can get anything to work.

    I just downloaded the game. It looks to me like sea zone 25 is in combat waiting for response on whether or not to continue. If I press “Retreat”, it moves to non-combat immediately. Maybe the combat window just shifted focus?

    Ok, the odds of you not getting a hit at all in that round of combat appears to be 2/3 * 2/3 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 2/3 * 2/3 * 2/3, or about .03%. When you combine that with the odds of my units getting four hits, it’s an astronomical probability of outcome in the less than .01% realm.

    If you’re not able to continue the game, I’m fine with giving you a mulligan on the turn. Obviously I would hate for the outcome to reverse itself, but meh, it’s just a game.

    Hmm, what you say makes sense.  I seem to be missing a screen asking for casualties.

    Tell you what, I’m no fan of mulligans.  I’m just going to do the US’s turn over and edit in the bombing raid and the sz 25 casualties.  It’s a back-breaker for me, but such is AAA.

    Obviously something went awry there between AAA and MARTI dice.

    I can use the above file and continue with the game.  I’m going lose two fighters and two subs, so I don’t have to move a carrier into a suicide position.

    I’ve never tried it, but I’d be willing to give it a go.  I know I’ve had a few dice rolls go my way since I’ve been back from Hawaii, so I shouldn’t complain too much about this last one.

    However, I’ve had some uncannily bad luck in all my games the last few weeks, to the point where I’m losing interest in AAA altogether.

    So, yes.  I’m cool with trying low luck next game.  It doesn’t hurt to try it, and if we don’t like we can go back to normal the game after that.
