I hit SZ56 with 2 FGT and %3 with the DD and 2 FGT. In non combat I put the CVs and the surviving fighters in SZ51. I also withhold the CA from SZ50 using the BB only. I position the CA with the fleet in SZ51. I have had the US get cocky and attack this fleet. Yeah it cost me a CV I could replace and it cost the US a wad of units that were going to take several rounds to replace.
Oh wow I overlooked that 😮 and will definitely remember that from now on. My group and I never played it correctly then even though it probably would have only mattered like twice. Usually we had allied units in originally controlled Russian territory then it was obvious. Thanks for the heads up.
Russia gets to reinforce Cauc R1, so softening up Cauc for Italy isn’t a good reason to hit Cauc G1.
If you want Cauc, think about setting up for a Round 2 attack….in that case, it would be Italy and its bbs that would soften up Cauc I1 (unless it had to counter Ukraine), and then Germany goes for it G2. To do this effectively the G Med transport should survive until G2, where it joins the Italy fleet.
Yes. And it works great. If the US abandons the Pacific, IMO Japan absolutely should start massing bombers. They can get into action quickly, can easily change theatres if need be, and can wreck the econ or join the battles at will.
You could do the same as Japan. They will have more income than USA pretty early
agreed, BUT as Japan I feel I need a navy much more to control my many islands when comparing to the USA.
In any case, going for HB and LRA seem to be the best options so far. I hope to be able to come up with other alternatives in my coming games however as the game otherwise seems too dull with an overpowered US airforce
