    Thx for allowing edit, I really believe there is no connection to US combat, let alone UK. Still, you allowed far more than anyone can expect.

    As for Africa, a total disaster and maybe more momentous than many battles that didnt go well for you. Having said that, I do not have ANY reasons to complain about dice in this game. And there is a thing or two I wish I had handed differently (maybe true for you also?).

    Yes, differently some things I should have done differently:

    • letting some 60/40 battle for US vs Japan exist is no good as the ANZAC can follow up.
    • should have put the Ger fleet in 113 after you made that many subs
    • should’ve watched better how I could keep pressure on fin / 125 while attacking Rus
      some other stuff as well I guess.

    And about the importance of the fights: real hard to say. If you had won / done better with US (I think clearing SA but not taking it would’ve been above average allready) I don’t think it would have changed the game, Ger is getting too close to Moscow / Volgograd and Egy is safe, so Euro victory seems hard to avoid.
    Also if a few rounds ago the Jap dice had been average you wouldn’t have gotten this chance, there would be more Jap fleet, Chi would be long dead, SFE would’ve been taken far earlier freeing up units to take India or go Russia harder, taking away Rus income, letting Ger get there earlier - all in all, much more income for Axis than Allies.

    I guess the bad dice in the Med in turn 2 (I think it was) hurt you most…

    Can very well be that a combined US/UK attack against Egypt is the last straw. Depending on US suicide hits, chances range from low 30s to high 50s or so.

    In hindsight I regret not having put an inf per turn or so on South Africa. Somehow I thought US would be more effective in Africa.

    Yes, bit too much effort for US to get something serious done in Africa… I guess you missed the Ita Ger attack a couple turns back, allowing the Ita units acces to SA? If you had thrown 3 inf the turn before that and once again the next, perhaps you could’ve held it…

    so due to a lucky strike it comes down to a 55% chance in Egypt. If you win, its over any way. If I win significantly, I have a fighting chance. If I barely take it, I dont know, not enough I guess.

    Shall I take the German land units last, if it comes to that? Or rd by rd casualty choice?

    Ehm, depends a bit on the amount left, I’d prefer round by round. But I’ll choose planes anyways, so if you just play max defense and don’t mind if I replace Ger ftrs with Ita ftrs afterward depending on the amount, that’s good too…
