First of all, name-calling is inappropriate, Cow

Second, the rules require you to pick up aircraft in the noncombat movement phase if possible.  See page 22, 3rd bullet point as well as other rules relating to aircraft and also aircraft carriers.  The rule book is very clear.

Third, it is the official stance of the moderators that strictly speaking, once you have submitted a completed phase to the forum you can’t go back to previous phases and change them without the consent of your opponent.  If you come to us, this is what we’ll fall back to, because it’s consistent and it follows the rule book.  Technically, every time you allow an edit to your opponent after their turn was complete, you are giving them permission to break the rules.

However

I just looked at the late edits in question.  Although Bold said he had his move planned out, I don’t think the edits of the 3 German boats really change the Russian turn that much.  Also, they are obvious, when Russia is first at war.  Cow caught it before there was any sign of Bold moving.  My opinion is that these edits would normally be allowed by a reasonable player.

It seems Bold is really trying to say “no more edits” because you’ve made several already and he hasn’t made any?  (Which is why you 2 are arguing about the planes crashing?)
If you guys can’t agree on allowing simple late edits, then you’ll probably have to go to a strict no late edits policy.  As for this edit with the Germans, it’s pretty clear:

A reasonable player under normal circumstances would graciously allow this late edit even being 16 hours late.  Even in a tournament situation, I think.  However, it seems Bold feels Cow is abusing the late edit privilege and is calling a stop to it.
Bottom line is, Bold has every right to deny these late edits because they are against the rule book.  You are going back and making non-combat movements after placing new units and collecting, and this is not allowed by the league moderators without permission from your opponent.

This is the risk you take when you play people you know are likely to be antagonistic.

Gamer is right, i was allowing your edit i’m just saying you are making all the edits and i am making none.  I want 1 for 1 the rest of the way after I get my 4-1.  The minus one is just a bone i’m throwing even though gamer is saying that tripleA should force the planes to land, not let them “crash and burn” in any case (other than if there is no legal spot for them to land, of course).

In a live game when you forget to land planes and several turns pass what happens then? There is no program to autoland for you.

Rules state at the end of non combat it goes poof!

I don’t know the details about the plane crashing situation in your game.
I thought an edit was made to pick up planes that had to be picked up by a carrier.

Beyond that, I have not given any opinion.  If this is a matter that needs to be settled, then tell me the facts or tell me what game turns and sea zones I need to look at.  If you can’t come to an agreement about it.

It was in Burma he forgot to land his planes. Edited them back in on ANZAC turn.  I do know planes that are not landed are removed. You are supposed to land them if possible. What happens when you forget? Remove or forced landing and where do you land them? Anywhere?

This is why I want an official ruling. I would not bring it up if Boldfresh just did his turn, but you know what I would rather lose that naval for some fighter kills. :)

I asked this before in a league game because I forgot and I lost my air units.  About time I get to screw someone over for this. I am just not about to sift through 80 pages of faq for it.

the aircraft do not crash, that much is certain cow.  since italy did absolutely nothing that had any impact on the pacific, i just landed them where i intended to land them.  i simply clicked through the tripleA prompt to land planes by accident apparently.  however, tripleA should not allow you not to land planes if you have a legal landing spot.

why are you making such a big deal out of this anyway?  i said i would allow your G3 edit but that I want to play with no future edits until i have used three myself, then we should go 1 for 1.  this is semi-friendly - in the past you have imposed immediate no edit requirements right out of thin air, saying every tripleA post is final, no noncom edits period.  what gives?

i can’t imagine who would have told you that your planes that you didn’t land when you had legal landing spots were just DEAD (crash and burn) but you were sure taken pretty hard.  hope that was not a game that mattered.  unless that is a rule you agreed to prior to game start, it’s certainly not supported by the ruleset.

doesnt really matter since you continued the game after the edit without saying anything.  so regardless, the edit stands.  however, i also assure you that the unlanded planes are not allowed for by the ruleset and any reasonable player would allow them without question, as you did.  now, what do you believe I am doing that is so unreasonable that you want to raise a stink about this unlanded planes issue?
