I agree. I do think that some people blame dice too much, though. In my opinion, if the game boiled down to a single “all-in” make-or-break battle over Moscow and I get diced, I can’t complain; had I strategized better, it wouldn’t have come down to a single battle anyway.Â
I once had an opponent concede after his UK 1 turn. Said that getting diced when he scrambled G1, then losing vs the Italian fleet UK1 was enough to “break” the game. Claimed he was diced. lol. I rarely scramble as the UK, and this game is an example of why I rarely do. lol
I don’t like scrambling because it takes away the Italian option for the UK. That being said, I just lost 7 of my 10 attacking planes as Germany against a scramble by soul, so it can have its place.

going forward, could we just use Triple A for such battles? Trying to piece together the fight from forum rolls was difficult. It is possible to save a battle before casualties are selected, and post so i can see the dice results. Much easier than via forum.

going forward, could we just use Triple A for such battles? Trying to piece together the fight from forum rolls was difficult. It is possible to save a battle before casualties are selected, and post so i can see the dice results. Much easier than via forum.
I have no issue with this; honestly, I just prefer to take my chances and pick the sub casualties a bit out of sequence.
