    You cannot use the battle calculator for TUV swing; it doesn’t calc it right.  For instance, it says if I were to win, I’d win with 6ish units left.  The TUV of everything I’d lose is 95 (saving my bombers and tacs).  Your TUV, counting the AA guns would be 116.  SO…116 (all your units) minus what it thinks I should lose 95, gives me a calculated TUV swing of 21.

    I think the number it shows factors in the TUV if you were to have won, then compares it with the TUV if I were to win, or something like that.

    @Whackamatt:

    You cannot use the battle calculator for TUV swing; it doesn’t calc it right.  For instance, it says if I were to win, I’d win with 6ish units left.  The TUV of everything I’d lose is 95 (saving my bombers and tacs).  Your TUV, counting the AA guns would be 116.  SO…116 (all your units) minus what it thinks I should lose 95, gives me a calculated TUV swing of 21.

    I think the number it shows factors in the TUV if you were to have won, then compares it with the TUV if I were to win, or something like that.

    The battle calculator calculates correct. It’s exactly as you stated:

    If you win the battle, you win with average +21. But that’s only with 75% chance (or something like that, I don’t fully remember). With 25% chance you lose and go out with minus IPC. So in average, that means +5.

    Thus, of course I can say that you were 48 IPC better than average (53-5), since you could have also lost it completely (and 25% chance is not even so low!)

    I’m not denying the battle went in my favor, I just think it’s more of 53-21= +32.  I’ll take it either way.  :evil:

    I think the TUV swing should be weighted based upon % likelyhood.  so the 21 avg TUV .75 - (TUV swing of losing).25    Do you know if it factors that in too?
