in that case you would have held most Moscow, but it was far more likely that you would have had to taken it with far fewer tanks, and choosing to lose planes instead of tanks is one thing when the dice are your buddy, but when they are more even handed and the battle is coming down to the wire, try havnig those nerves of steel that sacrifice tac bombers instead of tanks.
-
If you want to play again, I’m up for that. I no good with Allies though.
Axisplaya has indicated he’ll play. He, Noll and I against you 3 again?
I hear your preference for the Axis, but playing the same sides also makes for a stale game.
what if we randomly assign teams and use a bid, or randomly assign countries?
-
Axis = 1
Cmd Jen = 2
Doom = 3
GHR = 4

Wrongway Corrigan = 6players may make trades after the selections are made

There’s a 5 then a 1 in there, so Noll would get Germany
And I would get the last draw of Japan.So purely random selection gives us
Axisplaya gets the UK/ANZAC/French
Cmd Jen gets the USSR
GHR gets USA/ChinaDoom gets Italy
Noll gets Germany
Corrigan gets JapanTrades?
-
Germany for Japan :-D
-
ok, I’ll take Germany although I personally don’t mind playing any side.
if people want to discuss their turns, you should get skype accounts - we have more people playing outside the USA than inside, and google talk is another good chat venue if you want language translation.
Personally, i like to see stuff in writing because it’s easier to think about when it’s in print and on the map.
even if you talk about your turn before hand, what you miss from FTF is that your team mates are looking over your shoulder and stop you from the “oh %*%^” moves.
-
Oh goody…the other nation I’m not so good at. lol.
No big. I can die playing any nation, mwuhahahaha!
For chat I use MSN, although, I need a new chat medium for my andriod - which I suppose I have to get since the Windows phone does not do tethering (connect to a wireless network that is not my cellphone company)
-

Agreed. Given that I did not expect there to be more than 2 armor and virtually no aircraft left, I was willing to push on to see if my British forces could save Moscow from the jackboot of the German people. Luckily we did not have too, Russia got an unconditional surrender - but with 10 armor left, it would have been impossible, we’d have lost the Middle East and given the Germans free complexes to boot.
-
don’t worry if I’m playing Germany you know that chances are you’ll get to play russia like an amazon queen. besides a russian woman needs to learn to defend the motherland.
What out of date mobile carrier doesn’t allow tethering?
-
Jenn, if you want Italy, I’ll take Russia. I’m comfortable with them.

Windows 7 phone that my company has. All the ANDRIODS and even some of the BlackBerries (like anyone would admit to having a blackberry anymore) tether. The blackberries that dont are not smartphones so that makes sense. I have no idea why the Windows 7 one does not…I was looking at it because it runs Explorer and MS Office, but I dont want to pay to watch a TV show on Hulu while on break. Perhaps the guy there was just an idiot? It’s the US Cellular HTC 7 Pro Windows phone.
-
I’ll stay with Russia. The Prime Minister and President can yell at me if they think I screwed up something. Never get better at them if I dont play them!
-
blackberry’s still make sense as a global phone for verizon, very few 4g phones are global.
-
Eh, I’m still torn between the Windows 7 phone (7 Pro) and the Andriod (Hero S). They both have pros and cons. For one, the Hero-S is very user friendly and the ultimate in customization (except I cant get rhinestones! Guess I can do that myself) the Windows 7 phone has this weird flip up when you slide it open, but at least that, in turn, makes it easier to type and read at the same time. Windows comes with 1gig memory, Andriods all have less.
-
axisplaya – do you agree to take the UK, because I’ll need some scramble orders from ya.
-
I have agreed to give Axisplaya the Germans so that he can play the Axis on the same team as Jim.
So here are the teams so far,
Axisplaya - Germany
Noll - Japan
Jim - ItalyJen - USSR
Me - UK ANZAC French
GHR - USA China
